TBC, the company wholly owned by the Public Investment Fund (PIF), and the implementing arm of Education projects, announced that it carries out 225 joint projects with the Ministry of Education (MoE), of which are 23 projects in the eastern region, and 202 projects in various regions of the Kingdom including future projects, reported Al Yaum newspaper.
So far, TBC has worked on 588 educational facilities, ranging from completed and ongoing. The facilities serve 154,380 male and female students. TBC, which started its business in the first quarter of 2013, is mandated and entrusted with implementing the projects of the Ministry of Education, hence TBC is mainly tasked with providing a safe, high-quality, and advanced educational environment.
TBC implements projects of the Ministry of Education, including schools, educational buildings, and administrative facilities. It organizes tendering and awarding contracts according to its rules. In addition, it provides buildings and supervises the engineering, operating, maintaining, and developing work.
Quality of life
Aiming to contribute to the realization of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 and its Quality of Life program, TBC is working on several initiatives including implementing and developing special education programs, launching more than 250 kindergarten buildings, providing no less than 40 neighborhood entertainment and educational clubs, developing gyms for girls, improving school safety means in educational facilities and working with stakeholders in the Ministry of Education to raise students’ awareness about traffic safety around their schools.
In April, TBC signed six contracts with private entities, including a strategic partnership agreement with MODON. Within the agreement, MODON entrusts TBC to manage the investment of its lands, driven by TBC's sufficient experience in investment management of educational facilities across the Kingdom.
