The educational projects on the modern construction system that the Ministry of Education is developing in the Jeddah governorate are on a fast track as the first stage was done in a record time that did not exceed 50 days. These projects are considered a success story about the rapid response and dealing with the educational projects' implications of removing and developing slums in the governorate.
The projects are under the guidance of the wise leadership - may God support it - and its generous support for education in all parts of the Kingdom.
And also the regard and follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Khalid Al-Faisal, Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Governor of Makkah Al-Mukarramah Region, and His Royal Highness Prince Badr bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Governor of the Region.
The projects were developed with the modern construction system in Jeddah; His Royal Highness Prince Badr bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Acting Governor of Makkah Al Mukarramah Region; inaugurated the project in the presence of His Excellency the Minister of Education, Dr. Hamad bin Mohammed Al Al-Sheikh;
The projects were built according to the latest architectural designs that provide a safe and attractive educational environment for school employees among the efforts' integration of the concerned governmental and private sectors.
For its part, the Ministry of Education has developed an integrated plan to address the effects resulting from the removal project, in terms of cooperation between all government sectors and also the continuous quest to instantly provide appropriate alternatives to ensure that the educational process for students of those schools does not stop and students can attend at their campuses.
The Ministry's plan includes implementing 71 school projects with a total capacity of approximately 50,000 students.
It also includes completing another 25 projects of building additional classrooms in many school yards' to comprise 272 classrooms in neighborhoods with a high population density to accommodate more than 8,160 male and female students.
In addition to implementing ten other fast-paced modern building projects that include 282 classrooms with a capacity of 8,460 male and female students, all of which benefited at the beginning of this academic year.
The Ministry is currently working on implementing 36 school projects in its facilities. The projects include 1080 classrooms, with a capacity of 32,400 male and female students, which will be useable by the beginning of the second semester of this year, in addition to upcoming educational projects according to the approved timetables for their implementation.
These projects were built in partnership between the public and private sectors as the wise leadership is keen to accomplish this achievement and to overcome all the challenges that face the implementation of projects therefore, they hired Saudi contracting institutions as well as Tatweer Building Company TBC
