TBC has launched a project to install drinking water treatment and cooling units for school buildings across several education departments in the Kingdom.
In the same vein, TBC revealed that its project, which was directed by the Ministry of Education to implement it under its supervision, is a complete transformation and a fundamental change in the provision of drinking water to students, instead of traditional means.
The formation of a joint committee between the Ministry of Education and TBC to study the situation, propose solutions, and find out the required costs, provided a holistic study based on an integrated solution that addresses all aspects of the problem, and ensures the provision of a high-quality product, with international standards, with specially developed and designed units for this purpose.
The umbrella of the project, which provides 1,200 purification and treatment units, covers 5 educational departments: Al-Ahsa Education Department (380 units), Jeddah Education Department (234 units), Jazan Education Department (230 units), Sabya Education Department (190 units) and Makkah Education Department (166 units).
The units are distributed among 284 school buildings, bringing benefits to about 213,000 students. The level of water purification and treatment produced by them matches the specifications of bottled drinking water in the Kingdom, through 7 purification and treatment stages that the water passes through inside the units, with no chemical materials added.
