In the context of the pursuit of the Ministry of Education (MoE) to improve the learning environment and school buildings, HE Dr. Azzam Al-Dakhil, Minister of Education, has inaugurated one of the modern schools in Mu’nisiyyah neighborhood in the city of Riyadh. Dr Al Dahkil took a tour inside the new school and its facilities, where he recognized the high quality of its facilities and equipment, which took into account the safety standards and the advanced equipment and means of public education. The school has been designed and equipped in a manner that keep pace with the needs of students with physical disabilities by providing electric lifts, ramps and service facilities dedicated to them. Such schools are designed and executed to create an attractive learning environment that motivate students to learn and be creative, do sport activities and attend extra-curricular classes. The classrooms are designed according to the international standards in terms of number of students, spaces, lightening, ventilation and air conditioning, lockers for students, smart boards, and comfortable desks. The facilities included scientific laboratories, learning resources centers, teaching staff rooms with all necessary service utilities. Moreover, the environmental regulations were also taken into consideration by following the green buildings standards, like lightening, ventilation and air conditioning, landscaping, etc. The school is also equipped with sport facilities, grass athletic fields, multi-purposes halls, and high-tech theaters. Moreover, the new school design took into account the outside traffic movement as parking lots were provided to help both teaching staff as well as the school visitors. The parking area has been paved and tiled to facilitate students flows into the school entrance without jeopardizing them to the traffic of the streets around the school. The Minister was accompanied by a number of middle and high school students while taking his tour. The students expressed their happiness and were impressed by the school and its new and elegant design that meets their daily needs in such a manner that will motivate and activate their energies. HE the Minister also visited other schools under construction to check the progress of work in the company of a team of engineers that supervise the execution of the MoE projects.
